About Carol Kendrick, ITMI Lead Instructor & Tour Director Carol knows both sides of the student tour industry. She has 20 + years experience with student groups in the Washington, D.C. area. She has 15 years experience as a teacher leader planning and taking her students to DC and 7 years experience working as a D.C. Licensed Course Leader and 6 years of that as a trainer and new guide mentor for WorldStrides.

Prior to working in the travel industry Carol was a teacher and a principal in Arizona for over 32 years. As a principal, her schools consistently ranked in the top tier in school rankings of test scores, academic standards and curriculum offerings. During her tenure she was awarded many honors including the AZ LEAD principal of the year, and was a city of Phoenix’s Woman of the Year finalist. Her leadership to the education profession included local and state presidencies as well as being elected to and serving on the national board of trustees for the National Middle School Association and Association for Middle Level Education. 


About Skye MacLean, ITMI Instructor & Tour Director Skye has always had a passion for working with children. Before coming to ITMI, she was a Senior Interventionist for at-risk children as well as a camp counselor for more than 10-years for youth with emotional and behavioral challenges.

After her ITMI Certification she focused on her home region of the East Coast conducting student and adult tours. Skye is part of the EF Explore America family as both a D.C. Licensed Tour Director and new Guide Trainer. Skye also has been planning tours and itineraries for local receptive tour companies when not on the road.

Cancellation Policy

  • Minimum 20 guests must be booked to avoid cancellation.

  • No refund if cancelled after registration, travel insurance is strongly suggested.
